Transfer to visit Cu Chi tunnels located approximately 70 km from Ho Chi Minh city. The tunnels with a length of about 250 km were built by the Viet Cong in the 1940s as protection from French air raids during the Indochina conflict. The tunnels system includes clinics, storage facilities, weapons factories, kitchen, warehouse, office, conference room, hospitals, and command centers.
Transfer back to HCMC. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon, start off the city tour in HCM City with a visit to Independence Palace: a special historical place that was constructed by French in 1966 harmonising between modern and classic architecture
Continue on to Thien Hau Pagoda - the spiritual destination which was built by Chinese immigrants around 1760.
Visit Saigon Central Post Office: a perfect combination of neo-classical European architecture and Asian decoration
End the city tour with a visit to Ben Thanh market, which is loaded with a variety of goods such as consumer goods, cakes and candies, food and foodstuff, and particularly high-quality fruit and vegetables.
Stay overnight in HCMC.
