The 18 holes of the Eschuri Vung Bau Golf Course transport players "from the forest to the sea". Within the Phu Quoc forest, which has old trees still standing, are holes 1 through 9. Players experience the sense of exploring an old forest thanks to the skillfully crafted yet unpredictable greens. Golfers will have a new experience on holes 10 through 18, which wind along the white sand beach of Phu Quoc. There are wide fairways, trees, and views of the ocean.
Hole 3 measures 416 yards from the blue tee and has a difficulty index of 01, making it one of the most impressive Par 4s on the front nine at Eschuri.
As golfers approach this Par 4, they immediately face an intriguing challenge: a dogleg fairway that requires precision to reach the green effectively. Two sturdy trees, the White TrĂ¢m and Black Sao, stand in the fairway, adding a classic feel and heightening the drama with Links-style waste areas, acting as traps for drives from the left side, where lost balls are a risk.
The green, tucked behind a row of trees, adds another layer of challenge, demanding careful distance and direction calculations for the drive. A miscalculated second shot may encounter various obstacles. True triumph comes only after overcoming these challenges.
