Love Waterfall lies in the Hoang Lien National Park, around 14–15 km southwest of central Sa Pa and close to O Quy Ho Pass. Fed by streams originating in the Fansipan area, the waterfall descends through the forest from an altitude of around 1,800 metres, forming a striking white cascade against the surrounding greenery.
The journey to the waterfall is part of the experience. A forest trail follows the Golden Stream, passing through bamboo woodland and lush vegetation before reaching the falls. The area is particularly attractive for visitors who enjoy light trekking, nature photography and the peaceful atmosphere of the Hoang Lien mountains.
The waterfall is also associated with a local love legend involving a fairy and the woodcutter O Quy Ho. According to the story, their separation inspired the name of the waterfall and helped give the surrounding landscape its romantic character.
Love Waterfall is commonly combined with Silver Waterfall, O Quy Ho Pass and Fansipan as part of a scenic excursion from Sa Pa. The forest path can be damp and slippery, particularly after rain, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
