Doc Let Beach is known for its long stretch of pale sand bordered by casuarina trees and clear blue sea. Located along the coast of Van Phong Bay, its gently sloping seabed allows the water to remain relatively shallow far from the shoreline in many areas. The surrounding coastal landscape, with distant islands and green vegetation, gives the beach a quieter character than the more urban waterfront of Nha Trang.
The area retains a connection to the traditional livelihoods of coastal communities. Fishing boats and seafood establishments reflect the importance of the sea to local life, while the nearby Hon Khoi salt fields illustrate the region’s long-standing salt-production industry. These elements add cultural and economic context to the beach beyond its natural scenery.
Doc Let has also developed into a seaside leisure destination, with resorts, accommodation and restaurants along sections of the coast. Swimming, beach relaxation and water-based activities are among its main attractions, while local seafood provides a taste of Khanh Hoa’s coastal cuisine. The combination of white sand, relatively calm water and nearby fishing and salt-making communities makes Doc Let a distinctive complement to Nha Trang’s island and city experiences.
