Dau Tieng Lake is one of the largest artificial reservoirs in Vietnam, stretching across parts of Tay Ninh and neighbouring provinces. Built between 1981 and 1985, the lake plays an important role in supplying water for agriculture and daily life, while its expansive waters and relatively peaceful surroundings have made it an increasingly popular nature destination.

The lake’s broad horizon, small islands and distant views towards Ba Den Mountain create a scenic setting for photography and relaxation. Visitors can enjoy sunrise and sunset views, fishing, lakeside picnics and camping in designated areas. The changing colours of the water and sky are particularly appealing in the early morning and late afternoon.

For a comfortable visit, the dry season is generally suitable for outdoor activities, although conditions can vary. Dau Tieng Lake can be combined with Ba Den Mountain or other attractions in Tay Ninh for a relaxing excursion into southern Vietnam’s countryside.
