Cua Dai Beach forms part of the coastal landscape east of Hoi An, where the Thu Bon River reaches the sea. Its wide shoreline and open seascape provide a natural contrast to the narrow streets and historic architecture of Hoi An Ancient Town. The beach has long been associated with the town’s maritime setting and coastal way of life.
The surrounding area retains a strong connection to fishing and seaborne travel. Fishing boats and seafood establishments reflect the importance of the sea to local livelihoods, while Cua Dai also serves as a departure point for journeys to Cu Lao Cham, an offshore archipelago recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Cua Dai’s character combines natural scenery with a relaxed coastal atmosphere. Its beachfront dining, views across the East Sea and proximity to Hoi An make it a notable part of the region’s tourism landscape. Although sections of the shoreline have experienced coastal erosion, the beach remains an important seaside destination in the Hoi An area.
