Introduction

Lan Ha Bay is a scenic coastal destination south of Ha Long Bay, featuring hundreds of limestone islands and rocky outcrops rising from calm, clear waters. Many islands are covered in lush vegetation, while small sandy beaches and sheltered coves create a peaceful setting for exploring the bay. In 2023, Cat Ba Archipelago became part of the UNESCO World Heritage property known as Ha Long Bay – Cat Ba Archipelago.

Boat cruises offer visitors the chance to admire the bay’s distinctive landscape, while kayaking provides a closer look at its narrow waterways and hidden lagoons. Depending on the itinerary and weather, visitors may also enjoy swimming at selected beaches or observe traditional fishing communities. With its combination of striking scenery and outdoor activities, Lan Ha Bay is a highlight of any trip to Cat Ba Island.
