Located in the heart of Cat Ba Island, Cat Ba National Park encompasses a remarkable combination of forested limestone mountains, wetlands, mangroves and marine habitats. Its rich biodiversity includes numerous plant and animal species, notably the endangered Cat Ba langur, a primate native to the Cat Ba Archipelago. The park is also part of the Cat Ba Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO in 2004.
Visitors can explore the park through hiking trails that wind through dense forest and limestone scenery. The route through Kim Giao Forest to Ngu Lam Peak offers panoramic views over the surrounding mountains, while Trung Trang Cave reveals an impressive underground landscape of natural rock formations. For more adventurous travelers, longer trekking routes lead through forest ecosystems toward Ao Ech and Viet Hai Village. With its combination of outdoor adventure, wildlife and ecological value, Cat Ba National Park is one of the island’s key destinations for nature lovers.
