Introduction

Koh Russey Resort, formerly known as Alila Villas Koh Russey, is an exclusive five-star private island resort located in the Koh Rong archipelago off Cambodia’s southern coast. Opened in 2018, the resort combines contemporary architecture, Khmer-inspired design and a natural tropical setting. The island features copper-sand beaches, lush forest and clear Gulf waters, creating an ideal environment for travelers seeking privacy and relaxation. The resort now operates independently from the Alila brand.

The resort offers 63 pavilions and villas, with accommodation designed around indoor-outdoor tropical living. Rooms feature spacious layouts, contemporary furnishings, private terraces and views of the garden or sea. Selected villas provide private pools, separate living spaces and direct access to the beach, making them especially suitable for couples, families and private groups.

Facilities include a beachfront swimming pool, spa, fitness center, restaurants, beach bar and wellness activities. Guests can enjoy Khmer cooking classes, yoga, snorkeling, island excursions, beach picnics and sunset experiences. The resort’s private island setting provides a strong sense of seclusion while still allowing guests to explore nearby islands and the Cambodian coast.

For golfers, Koh Russey Resort is best positioned as a luxury beach extension following a golf itinerary in Phnom Penh or other Cambodian destinations. There is no golf course on the island, but guests can combine their stay with championship golf before traveling to the coast.

Koh Russey Resort is particularly suitable for luxury golf-and-beach packages, couples’ holidays, private groups and post-golf relaxation, offering a peaceful tropical finale to a Cambodian golf journey.
