Introduction

Long Coc Tea Hills is one of the most distinctive landscapes in the midland region of northern Vietnam. Hundreds of rounded hills rise and fall across the countryside, their curved slopes covered in neat rows of tea bushes. At dawn, mist often drifts between the hills and settles over the valleys, creating an atmospheric scene that is particularly appealing to photographers. From elevated viewpoints, the overlapping hills form a striking panorama that changes with the light and seasons.

Beyond its scenery, Long Coc is an important tea-growing area where cultivation remains closely connected to local livelihoods. Visitors can enjoy the landscape on foot, learn about tea harvesting and processing, and sample locally produced tea. The surrounding community also offers opportunities to discover Muong culture through local cuisine, traditional homes and homestay experiences. The hills are attractive throughout the year, with greener tea slopes generally from March to December and misty early mornings especially appealing in autumn and early winter.
